Donate

The income of the Parish relies on the kind support and donations of the people in the Parish - this money is used primarily for the basic running of the Parish - down to heating the building in winter.

Regular giving to Church can be Gift Aided if you are a UK taxpayer, which means that the tax you have already paid can be claimed back by us from the government and used to boost your donation. Please download and fill in the Gift Aid form - you can use collection envelopes in church for cheques or cash, or perhaps you would like to set up a Standing Order. A Standing Order is much simpler for us and the Bank Mandate form is also available to download. Please return all completed forms to the Parish Office.

People sometimes want to give a one-off donation and this can also be given with Gift Aid wih the same form.

If you are making a Will please consider leaving something for the work of the Church here in future generations, specifying that it is for this parish of St Joseph's, Whitnash, within the Archdiocese of Birmingham.

Contactless Payments – digital donation plate

We now have a contactless card reader  at  St Joseph’s. It is usually situated in the narthex as you enter and leave the church. Contactless payments are touch-free with no need to type in your PIN or hand over your card. Simply touch your card to the reader, listen for the beep, and your payment is done or if you prefer you can also insert your card into the payment device and enter you pin to make a payment.

The first time you do this you can register for Gift Aid on donations to the parish.

Cash collection at Mass. Please be reassured you will be able to continue donating using cash. We will continue to have envelopes for both gift aid, but hope to move from these to standing orders next year.

If you would like to give using the QR code this will take you to our giving page - as will the button below.

Mass intentions

You can ask to have a Mass celebrated for a particular person (living or departed) or another concern or interest or Thanksgiving. There are printed envelopes in the Narthex where you write your name and the details, and a preferred date but please be aware that Sundays are booked up months in advance so you are better to expect and look for a weekday Mass a couple of weeks ahead which is suitable for you. The intentions are published on the newsletter each week for the week ahead.

The priest will announce the intention at the start of Mass, so even people following the live streaming will know that they are joining in those prayers. If you can please put a cash offering in the envelope and either give it to Fr David or post it through the Presbytery letterbox, Hazel will check the diary and confirm a date. (Please don't give a cheque, of if you have to, make it out to D Hartley - not the parish)
